Senior Pastor

Pastor Fred Caudle was born in Altus, Oklahoma.  At the age of 10, he accepted Christ as Lord and Savior and was baptized on June 16, 1976.  He moved to Maryland with his parents in August of 1979, and joined membership of First Baptist the same year.  After graduating high school and attending college, he led the youth department and served as Deacon.
Our pastor served in the Army and Army Reserves for a combined term of 10 years.  During his time in the Reserves, he held the position of CEO in a local non-profit company and owned a retail partnership.  At the age of 33, Pastor Caudle knew that God was speaking to him again to preach His word.  He served as Interim and bi-vocational minister from October 2002 to March 2004, when FBC of St Charles ordained and called him as the Senior Pastor.

Our pastor is married to Kay Caudle.  Kay was born in La Plata, Maryland and has remained a resident of Maryland.  Their children are Shelby and Megan.  Together they serve the Lord believing He has equipped them to share His gospel and blessings.

Alicia Kelley

 Children's Ministry Leader

Alicia Kelley was born in Camp Springs, Maryland and comes from a military family. Her grandfather, Deacon James H. Newton, shared the Gospel with her, encouraged her to read her Bible, and ensured she attended Vacation Bible School annually. Alicia was baptized at a young age after publicly accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior.

In her youth, Alicia’s parents supported her desire to lead by challenging her academically and enrolling her in scholarly based summer programs. Upon graduating High School, Alicia decided to continue her education by attending college. Following the completion of numerous degree programs, Alicia obtained employment as a Program Analyst.
Although Alicia had been successful professionally, she felt something was missing. So, she prayed that God would fill the void with something that aligns with His will for her. Following that prayer, Alicia was asked to serve in the Sunday School Ministry at The Church at St. Charles. Once she began teaching, she realized how much she enjoyed teaching children. After some time, Alicia sought additional opportunities to serve with children. She began working as the Crafts’ Director for Vacation Bible School and then accepted a role as the lead of the Children’s Ministry. As the Children’s Ministry leader, she oversees the Kids’ Club 3:16 and Nursery programs.

Alicia believes we can share the Gospel with children using everyday items. She plans weekly lessons that include object-based lessons and life application activities. She believes and encourages children to build a firm foundation with God, trust in His faithful love, and submit to His purpose for a fulfilling life (Psalm 138:8).
Alicia lives in Southern Maryland with her loving husband, Antoine (Tony), and their two daughters.

Linda Hollingsworth

Financial Secretary

Linda was born in Detroit, Michigan on June 9, 1952, the middle of three sisters and one of seven children.   Her father was a Baptist minister pastoring a church in Detroit and in 1960 her family moved to Washington DC/Maryland area where her father pastored and evangelized at several churches.    Linda went to school in PG County and graduated in 1971.  Growing up in a Christian home, Linda came to receive the Lord at age 10 and was baptized and has never known a time when the Lord wasn’t present in her life.  She met her husband Roy in 1973, married 1974 and had four children.  Linda and her husband joined the First Baptist Church of St. Charles after she had visited several other churches in the Charles County area. Linda immediately felt the Lord’s presence there and she joined, and later her husband joined.  Linda had a working career as Project Control Analyst for government contractor(s) when in 2013 her division was reorganized and layoffs were given to herself and several others in her group. At the time Linda didn’t understand why the changes in her life, but it became clear when in 2016 her husband was diagnosed with cancer and she was needed to take care of him until his passing in 2017.   In May 2018, the church was in need of an office secretary, and it was the Lord leading the way for Linda to accept a part-time position at the church as first Office Secretary, then to Financial Secretary, where she currently serves the Lord in the administrative/financial area of the church.
